Florian Tanty (born December 29th, 1982) is a French guitarist, bassist, songwriter . He is best known as the guitarist of the metal band ABSINTHE, with whom he has recorded 3 demos and 1 album. Florian Tanty also maintains an active solo career, having released his first album ; EMPYREAN HEAVEN under his own name, as well as collaborations with Riccardo Rocchetti, Rusty Meighan, Olivier Gregori, Fabien Pusset and Nicolas Pascual… His solo recordings incorporate a variety of elements ranging from experimental folk, world music, blues and ambient music to electronica. Drawing influence from guitarists of various genres, Florian Tanty emphasizes melody and emotion in his guitar playing, and favors acoustic guitars and analog recording techniques. Florian Tanty develloped a project called NOSTRUM and explores electronic music.

Il est connu pour être l’actuel Bassiste du groupe d’Open Métal ABSINTHE, avec lequel il a enregistré 2 démos et 1 album studio (à paraître). Florian Tanty mène également une carrière solo active. Il a en effet enregistré son premier album EMPYREAN HEAVEN sous son propre nom, et collaboré avec Rusty Meighan, Riccardo Rocchetti, Olivier Gregori, Fabien Pusset et Nicolas Pascual. Ses compositions en solo incorporent plusieurs influences, notamment de la folk expérimentale,le blues, l’électronique, l’ambiant et les musiques du monde. Florian Tanty est à la tête du projet de musique électronique NOSTRUM où il explore les sons du légendaire synthétiseur MOOG.
